My foundation is as a person-centred therapist, which means that I believe that we all have the capacity and the wisdom to resolve our difficulties and to improve our lives and work. Unfortunately this ability to know what is right for us can become blocked when we are in distress and have negative life experiences - particularly those that affect our sense of value or around feelings of shame. It also means that I work in a client-focused way where we work as a team rather than an approach where I am the expert analysing you.
Working with people gives me great pleasure and I feel honoured to be let into my clients' internal worlds and have great compassion and respect for the struggles that show up for each of us throughout the course of our lives.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked creatively in media and also ran my own businesses related to that. I live in Ealing and have 1 child.
I attend regular professional development training, seminars and events in order to enhance my professional practice and attend supervision regularly.
