Working with people gives me great pleasure and I feel honoured to be let into my clients internal worlds and have great compassion and respect for the struggles that show up for each of us throughout the course of our lives.
My counselling model:
My foundation is as a person-centred therapist, which means that I believe that we all have the capacity and the wisdom to resolve our difficulties and to improve our lives and work. Unfortunately this ability to know what is right for us can become blocked when we are in distress and have negative life experiences - particularly those that affect our sense of value or around feelings of shame.
I attend regular professional development training, seminars and events in order to enhance my professional practice and attend supervision regularly.
Qualifications and Associations:
Barefoot Certificate in Personal and Business Coaching, accredited by ICF.
BA (Hons) degree in Person-Centred Counselling from the University of Middlesex
Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from the Metanoia Institute in London.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Registered Member MBACP) and I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice and am professionally supervised. Please have a look at www.bacp.co.uk for more information.
Additionally I work as an Anxiety UK therapist.
